Our client a leading fashion retailer is looking to recruit an Assistant Merchandising Manager - for their head office based in Dublin.
Our client sees this as an integral function within its purchasing and finance teams and is investing significantly in building up this function within their organization
The Assistant Merchandising Manager is a key support role that provides the Buying teams with support and direction on commercial and analytical decision making.
Sales & Stock - Monitoring
Assist the Senior Merchandiser in the delivery of the sales, stock turn and contribution budgets
To conduct regular trading reviews alongside the Merchandiser with the Buying teams to maximise sales and manage stock levels
To identify current and future trading opportunities and advise Merchandiser
Assist the Senior Merchandiser with informing actions as necessary to the Buying Controller and Buyers
To oversee the maintenance of the Line projections
To recommend styles for the markdown list to the Senior Merchandiser
To assist in the strategic planning within IP (WSSI, LP's, Option Planning and Assortment Manager)
Analysis & Administration – Problem solving and maintaining accurate paper work
To be responsible for investigating and resolving any data inaccuracies
Supervise, check and analyse the reports produced by the Trainee Merchandiser- including strategy, sign off and store range presentations
To identify and report stock overages and shortages against the WSSI's and report them to the Merchandiser
To ensure current commitment records have been maintained accurately
Range - Develop and manage range content
Responsible for the checking, updating and maintaining of store and style grading ensuring all opportunities are maximised and any problems de-risked
Responsible with the Buying team for the trigger presentation quantities of the styles in Core Line Replenishment upon agreement with Retail
Responsible for communicating these quantities to Retail and Objectivity
Assisting the Senior Merchandiser on the production of planagrams
This is a influencing role in a fast moving and well resourced buying office. It is of critical commercial importance and remunerated accordingly.
