FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a GraduateSoftware Engineer to be based i n Sligo.

Job Description:

Work in a team environment developing next generation control systems for automation machinery, primarily in the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Sector. The candidate will be responsible for the integration of industrial manufacturing machinery at the IT level.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to work well independently and in a team setting, and have the ability to multitask.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of remote connectivity solutions for industrial manufacturing machinery.
  • Development and implement connectivity solutions
  • Interface with customers’ IT departments to facilitate remote support for all of my clients products
  • Interface and coordinate with other departments
  • Provide support for field problems
  • Ability to travel, especially international required
Minimum Requirements:

  • BSC in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience with network services that include LAN, WAN, WLAN, MPLS, SSL VPN, remote access services, and network monitoring services.
  • 0-2 yrs experience developing extensively in C, VB, JAVA and Perl is ESSENTIAL.
  • Knowledge of C++/C#, ASP, SQL, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, etc preferred.
  • Experience of working with AS400 very advantageous
  • Knowledge Network Routing Hardware and Routing Protocols
  • Experience with internet working multisite/multiOS (Windows, Unix, Linux,) environments.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Good command of English; knowledge of German is a strong plus
