Senior Project Manager with 10yrs project management experience required for permanent role in Dublin with some travel to other offices.
Responsoibilties:
- Define and plan cross departmental company wide projects
- Create project reports that can be delivered to Snr management within the company
- Manages project delivery and budget, works with project sponsors, team managers and stakeholders to prepare delivery plans, track and report progress against plan including change management.
- Project manages the deployment of the solution (IT systems and business operations) within the agreed time-scales and budget.
- Monitor and control projects and report on back on issues, dependences, risks, time lines and budgets. Demonstrate risk management capability.
- Ensure the solutions being delivered meet with the strategic direction of the company as well as meeting the business needs.
- Builds leads & motivates multi disciplinary teams to achieve the core project business objectives.
- Effective management of, and communication to, the project stakeholders often at senior executive level on risk management.
- Manage resource assignment to the project to ensure the necessary resources are made available at the right time to support project execution through the PMO
- Run a number of projects in parallel as separate projects or as part of a larger programme of work.
Essential Requirements:
- IT / Computer Science Qualification
- 10 years Project management experience across IT and the business e.g. in an IT applications, or infrastructure environment and have managed the business operational changes on these projects.
- Implemented projects with a budget in excess of €1 million or a programme of work with a budget in excess of €3 million.
- Excellent communication skills - ability to provide valuable information related to the project status in a timely and effective manner.
- Strong Negotiation skills - maintaining relationships with stakeholders & have the ability to influence stakeholders from across the business units.
- Team building - assists the team members in understanding their roles and responsibilities
Team Building - Ensure as part of a programme of work team members are delivering project components as required - Relationship management - capable of working with all levels within the organization by building the required relationships
- Excellent working knowledge of a range of project development lifecycle(s) across mainframe, client server and web based technology.
- Ability to continuously improve project management processes, tools and templates as required for the project.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, People/Motivation skills
- Acute understanding and ability to demonstrate expertise in Quality Management, Project planning, Risk & Change management
- Solid understanding of PM tools & techniques
- Proven ability of driving Requirements gathering & analysis.
- Industry standard PM qualification
