Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting and fault finding of processes and equipment in the moulding department.
- Optimise existing and develop new moulding processes.
- Complete validation of new and existing equipment, including factory acceptance trials, IQ, OQ and PQs.
- Source and commission new equipment.
- Improve and maintain the efficiency and safety of equipment. Identify and evaluate new raw materials.
- Prepare capital expenditure requests, source and specify equipment design, and liase with vendors.
- Manage capital projects, from inception to completion. Present project status updates to management. Assist with training of technicians and apprentices as required. Maintain FDA compliance in the moulding operation.
Education / Experience:
- Third level qualification to degree level in Engineering.
- 5+ years industrial experience in injection moulding, preferably in the medical/pharmaceutical industry. Ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Netstal, Fanuc and Engel injection moulding machines.
- Ability to apply a scientific approach to problem solving, blending analytical and experimental skills to maximise productivity and yields. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a flexible and innovative approach to work . Familiarity with equipment validation in an FDA environment.
