We are a large international financial services company who are currently establishing a state of the art software development centre in scenic County Kerry. This new centre in Co Kerry will support the group’s Western Hemisphere IT operations and a range of functions including Java Software Development and Testing, Network Support, Data Centre Support, Testing and Helpdesk activities will be created. These are permanent full time role based onsite in County Kerry. For those employees who join us in our start-up phase, exciting long term career opportunities are on offer. At present we are hiring a QA Test Manager.
Role :
You will have responsibility for the definition and execution of the test strategy for the enterprise application. You will allocate, schedule and manage work to achieve all test deliverables and you will proactively manage, minimize and escalate risk arising from testing activities across all projects.
You will provide leadership in any area associated with the planning, procurement, provision, delivery, management, maintenance or effective use of information systems and their environments provided to ensure a thorough understanding of the implications of the testing phase.You will ensure master test plans are defined, produced and managed against each assigned projects and you will also be responsible for ensuring that all testing deliverables (system/regression/UAT) for projects under remit are completed on time, within estimated test budgets and meet relevant quality standards.
Skills Required:
You have a proven understanding of software testing tools and standards (ie circa 5 – 10 yrs experience in IT testing roles) and you have a deep background in some of the standard automated Testing Tools (e.g. HP Quality Center, Selenium, Loadrunner, JMeter). You have a practical understanding and experience of testing best practice, including industry trends and you have proven experience of managing complex change in a fast moving environment.
You must have a deep understanding of the role of software testing and of all testing events throughout the development lifecycle. Experience of SCM tools (in particular SVN, Serena Dimensions) or of JIRA would be an advantage. Experience of working in agile teams using Scrum or other agile methodology would also be an advantage.
