Machine Design and Development Engineer - Cambridge

Role:
+ Mechancial Machine Design Engineer will design and develop of new-to-market process and packaging machinery for new and existing products using creative technical solutions for materials and novel manufacturing techniques
+ Design of machine systems for a wide range of applications including high speed processes for volume manufactured products for our high profile clients
+Applying practical science and engineering, creating innovative solutions to complex, challenging technical problems, and delivering high performance manufacturing processes
+Participating in providing insights for processing of materials relevant to consumer products, healthcare and manufacturing sectors, with particular knowledge of sustainable materials seen as an advantage

Skills:
Experience of design and development of products and manufacturing process machinery, specific experience in high speed processes for the consumer goods and healthcare sectors is considered a key advantage
* Experience of factory installation and commissioning of semi-automatic to fully automatic high speed manufacturing process equipment
* Experience of a wide range of materials (rigid and flexible), how they function/ perform in products and how they can be handled and processed, for instance flexible packaging polymer or paper materials, powders and liquids
* 3D CAD skills are essential, and preferably Solidworks
