The Transfer Agency Department of this leading funds company is responsible for effecting dealing instructions on behalf of investors and investment management companies. It involves ensuring an accurate register and providing all necessary oversight and control services associated with these products. Due to ongoing growth, the Transfer Agency department is looking to hire additional Transfer Agency talent for this busy department at a supervisory level.
Responsibilities
- Day to day process management and supervising team through same.
- Keep up to date with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all day to day functions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services and specific knowledge of legislation and regulations.
- Ensure that all required information is reported to the Management Companies / Trustees / Clients within all service level agreements.
- Ensure that all functions are monitored and regulatory requirements adhered to.
- Ensure that sufficient checking controls exist to minimise the risk of financial losses.
- As required, liaise with client companies, investors, trustees, auditors, and other departments on operational and administrative issues.
- As required, ensure that procedures are written and maintained for all the department's activities and that all process maps are kept up to date.
- Ensure that all deadlines are adhered to for KPI, service levels and regulations.
- Suggest improvements to controls, procedures and systems in the area on an ongoing basis.
Skills, knowledge and Attributes
Ideally your background for this role will include a few years experience in the funds arena and the closer to Transfer Agency and/or Shareholder Services the better. They may also consider candidates from a Custody background. - Strong communications and people management skills.
