This will report into the Sales Director: EMEA Inside Sales

This position will be accountable for the management of the Central Region Inside Sales team for our established Central Territory Management division. This team will be a mixture of current Inside Sales resources within regional offices and new resources within a centralized location in Ireland (Cork). The Inside Sales teams will be tied to specific territories and Account Managers (field resources), accountable to drive and develop the region in a telesales/support environment. The typical mix will be 2 Inside Sales to 1 Territory Account Manager.

This individual will be accountable for the direct management of Inside Sales in the Central region, including recruitment, on boarding, establishment of daily activities, setting/measuring goals/objectives, and daily interaction with the respective teams. These teams will be mostly net new, as such this individual will be required to recruit aggressively and establish ‘day 1’ plans and practices for the new teams, ensuring effectiveness is reached in the shortest time possible.

The Inside Territory Rep teams are accountable to enable a given territory (excluding named accounts), driving demand from lead programs, install base customers and other activities. With our partner leveraged model, the Inside Territory reps will be working within our leveraged channel model to drive reseller enablement and new customer acquisition, along with ensuring the Territory Manager’s time is maximized.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Tasks and Responsibilities):
• Accountable for the management of a team of up to 20 Inside Sales staff supporting the Central European Region
• Recruit, on board and set up ‘day 1’ activities for this newly formed group
• Work closely with regional managers on integrating the inside territory rep within the local teams
• Accountable to drive revenues within the given territories to maximize revenue for VMware, utilizing our leveraged partner network
• Partnering with the appropriate sales teams within region to ensure alignment of Inside Territory Reps to Territory Managers – maximize synergy on call / email versus feet on street activities
• Drives territory manager productivity through effective scheduling of the TM’s time with resellers and customers
• Ensures smooth handling of customer/reseller orders, ensuring orders are booked on time (working with our Corporate Operations and Deal Manager functions)
• Accountable for forecasting for the given territory. Overall responsibility of people management, performance management and coaching of own team

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
• 4-5+ years experience in a Inside Sales / Telesales environment, specifically with set-up and ongoing management of a multi-country and multi-matrix team, preferably in the high tech industry; software product company specifically preferred
• A demonstrated passion for results and customer satisfaction
• A strong understanding and demonstrated experience in a channel leveraged sales environment
• Strong understanding of processes and best practices within an Inside Sales and telesales environment
• Strong organizational and managerial skills with ability to manage multiple projects
• Capable to manage a diverse group of people to common goals, with the ability to be an individual contributor
• Proven track record of effectively interfacing with cross-functional departments and sales management team
• Proven track record of driven results through coaching of individuals and teams
Fluent German and English is essential for this role
