Senior Java Development Engineers to join their expanding teams in Limerick.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Experienced Java engineer for developing commercial solutions for our MTS products.
• Design, develop, test and deliver high quality software/solutions with limited direction from the project lead and/or manager. Provide direct estimates, such as time, percentage of project completion, etc. to lead and/or manager
• Create high-level designs and low-level designs
• Create and review product/project deliverables according to the defined PDM (Product Development Methodology) i.e., high-level estimates, low-level estimates, impact assessments, external & internal specifications, manuals, education material, etc.
• Create and review unit, component integration, system and performance test plans and scripts, execute tests and analyze the results.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews/inspections
• Be a self-motivator and initiator, and able work alone as well as a team member
•Research and resolve customer reported problems
• Perform as an engineering lead role
• Provide technical assistance to other resources
• Collaborate with the UXD (User Exp. Design) team for UI-related assignments
Minimum Requirements
• 6 years of professional Java development with 4+ years of J2EE.
• 4 years of experience in HTML, JavaScript, Spring, JSP, Struts, JDBC, XSLT, multithreading and AJAX
• 2+ years of design/architecture
• Extensive experience with object oriented programming, Knowledge of Design Patterns
• Experience with Agile development methodology
• Experience with UI web development, web server, web app server (i.e., WebSphere)
• Experience with SQL programming (Oracle & DB2 preferred) and XML
• Very strong problems solving skill
