Project M&E ENGINEER

Working in partnership with my client, we are recruiting a Project M&E Engineer with experience in managing construction projects in a large scale complex environment, in particular Healthcare facilities.

This role has a potential of going further that 12 months.

DUTIES:

  • Assisting in defining requirements for all equipment and building, especially in seeking ease of maintenance and operations.
  • Complying with all regulatory requirements including permission, licences, certificates and approvals.
  • Developing action plans for the timely and efficient completion of all contracts.
  • Supervising staff and contractors in the implementation of agreed programmes
  • Managing and controlling the agreed budget.
To provide advisory services appropriate in the development and execution of capital projects.

  • Developing a comprehensive brief for the project.
  • Prepare or arranging for the preparation of plans and contract documents to detail required.
  • Arranging for submission of tenders and recommending tenders for acceptance.
  • Agreeing programme for project with contractors
  • Ensuring that agreed programme is completed within time and tender sum.
To ensure that the adequate fire prevention and safety measures and standards are devised and applied by:

  • Discussing with Local authorities in the area in association with the s Manager and the Fire and Safety Officers fire precaution and safety measures and their priorities.
  • Developing programmes for the implementation of agreed measures in consultation with fire and Safety Officers.
  • Advising and agreeing annual programmes for Fire precautions schemes in consultation with Chief Fire Officers in the area and the estates Manager and the Fire & Safety Officers.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Min 5 years post graduate experience Holds a Honours Bachelor Degree (Level 8 FETAC) in Building Service Engineering
  • Have significant experience in managing construction projects in a large scale complex environment, in particular Healthcare facilities
  • Qualification in Health and Safety is an advantage, but not essential
