Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team currently working on enterprise level web based applications. The Application Developer Analyst will participate as an individual contributor to create new and support existing enterprise level multi-tiered J2EE applications.

Main Accountabilities:

Propose design alternatives to solve business needs identifying potential new applications as well as enhancements to existing applications Utilize strong analytical skills to work with business systems analysts to develop detailed technical specifications/documents to implement appropriate technical solutions Develop quality J2EE code with strong unit testing supported by test cases
(JUNIT testing) Work with other areas of the organization to coordinate preparation of environments required to support new/modified application requirements Work with/support QA testing area during testing phases of project life cycle
  • Ability to organize and follow through on tasks required for migration of software into the production environment
  • Work with other members of development team to provide ongoing maintenance/support of existing applications


    • Required Skills:

    Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent with three to five years of programming and analysis experience developing J2EE applications. Required experience in the following areas: EJB, JNDI, JMS, JDBC, SQL, XML Web Services(WSDL) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, and the ability to work with confidential documents. Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures. Experience coding from requirements documentation using traditional Waterfall methodology. Committed to delivering high quality work independently or as part of a team. Desire to keep current with changing technologies

    Desired Skills:

    Insurance Application knowledge a plus WEBLOGIC 10 experience a plus JAVA 6 experience a plus
  • Eclipse experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of case tools and UML
