Business Unit Manager - Sligo.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and provide leadership within the manufacture, distribution and
maintenance of new products and associated activities. Maintaining good morale and motivation creating a
positive team environment.

Main Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the manufacture, distribution and management of finished goods at the Sligo site.
2. Manage and support the new build and warehouse teams ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality and all
cGMP requirements.
3. Maximise team members performance though appropriate leadership and motivational skills.
4. Ensure effective achievement of plant goals and objectives.
5. Deliver on the production schedule for the plant, liaising with team to ensure production targets are being met.
6. Ensure that manufacturing operations are conducted in an effective and efficient manner.
7. Deliver on finished product supply goals, both timing and quality.
8. Development of team members through the effective use of cross functional teamwork.
9. Responsible for preparing and managing relevant budgets.
10. Develop and update production methods to conform at all times with recognised best practice such as lean
manufacture.
11. Drive participative involvement in relation to innovation / continuous improvement in the production process.
12. Coordinate schedule requirements through team so as to achieve maximum labour efficiency and inventory
utilisation.
13. Work with support teams to successfully introduce new products / product transfers.

Skills/Experience requirements:
• Minimum qualification: Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Quality or other related discipline
5 years experience in similar role/environment

Desirable requirements:
• Technical knowledge and experience in similar environment
• Membership of recognized professional association.
