Our client, a pharmaceutical company based in Sligo is seeking to recruit a validation technician on a one year contract basis. This may be extended with a view to permanancy.

Job Description

You will be responsible for executing various validation activities,focusing on autoclave load and controlled environment thermal mappings.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute autoclave load pattern qualification / requalification and other thermal studies as per approved protocols and relevant operating procedures.
• Record all relevant data as outlined in validation protocols.
• Review all data generated from validation studies to ensure acceptance criteria has been met.
• Complete all necessary documentation (validation package) for each validation study, including validation summary report.
• Ensure any protocol deviations are adequately documented, addressed and reported in a timely manner.
• Complete validation studies within agreed timeframes and plant schedules.
• Complete other QA duties as assigned by the QA Manager.
• Complete duties in compliances with the Company’s Environmental Health and Safety procedures.

Essential Requirements
• Educated to degree level in a Technical discipline.
• Relevant Validation experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Knowledge & experience of cGMP and regulatory requirements for the Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organised and an ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to co-operate and work well with others in the pursuit of team goals.

Desired Requirements
• Knowledge of computer packages and an understanding of the use of automated systems within the pharmaceutical industry
• Understanding of autoclave validation requirements.
• Experience in validation report writing.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
