My client is the medical devices subsidiary of one the the world's largest healthcare companies.
The Cork plant employs 650 staff (in manufacturing, global operations and R&D) and is going through a major re-organization as over 10 product lines are being transferred on from a sister sire. The plan is to double the size of the Cork plant in 2012, and the plant includes R&D and Innovation Centre's for the world.
There are 2 similar positions:
· Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Basic Salary c. €70k - this role will lead a team of 5 x Project Engineers & 1 x Team Leader
· Project Manager- c. €55 - €65k - managing a diverse range of projects from process improvement to capital projects
Both roles are part of a newly formed project management group with will support both manufacturing operations and R&D Innovation Centre. The roles will be responsible for managing key projects around the areas of process improvement, cost savings, capital projects, NPI (including Design for Manufacturing, DFM) and process development.

Requirements:
· Degree qualified in an engineering (ideally mechanical), manufacturing or similar discipline
· At least 5 years process/manufacturing engineering experience, with at least 3 years project management experience on value stream projects ideally within a medical devices (or similar world class manufacturing environment)
· A project management certification such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Prince2, PMI or PMP experience is essential
