My client is a multinational bio-pharmaceutical company which develops life science drugs (used for treatment of HIV diseases).
They have their solid dose tabletting operation based in Cork. The early stages of the bio-pharma process is outsourced and this role will manage c. 7 staff.
This role is a new role based in Cork and will work as part of the manufacturing team and will report into the Head of Manufacturing. There is also 2 other Production Supervisors in the team. It is a shift based role working on 3-cycle shift (3 x 12-hour days, 3 x 12-hour nights, Split Shift).
The role will manage a team of highly skilled and flexible manufacturing technicians within the tabletting area. There is 8 x Technicians within the team and it is a highly skilled team focussing on all aspects of tablet manufacturing from packaging to cleaning
The role will manage 1 of the 3 key production lines (solid dose manufacturing line) and will lead c. 10 staff.
Excellent salary available + 25% shift allowance (3-cycle shift) with excellent benefits package (PR bonus of 12%. Full benefits (pension, healthcare, life assurance, stock options) are also provided.)
Requirements:
• Must be Degree qualified
• Must have at least 5 years production supervisor or manufacturing team lead experience within a highly regulated cGMP tabletting, solid dose or fill finish environment
• A proven track record of leading and developing a team of c. 10 operators/technicians
• A proven track record of driving process improvement and cost saving projects using tools and methodologies such as operational excellence, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
