At Pharma-BioServ we are recruiting an Experienced Research Fellow to join our existing team in the R&D department of our medical device client in Cork.
Role
- Provide scientific and technological leadership in advancing the “state of the art” of the existing Investment casting process and non-destructive inspection technologies
- Comply with all EU FP7 Marie Curie project reporting requirements.
- Implement design for manufacturability in new process designs to minimise lifecycle cost
- Full project management responsibility.
- Contribute towards the development of advanced investment casting related manufacturing processes i.e. Wax, Shell, Casting, Finishing, Inspection etc.
Experience
- PhD in Material Sciences / Engineering or equivalent and 2 years experience working in an Investment casting process (or Master in Materials Science and 4 years experience).
- Experience working within a high volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience collaborating with academic institutions
- Experience with Integration of R&D Programs into Manufacturing Operations
