Our client is one of the leading manufacturing companies they currently have a requirement for a Senior Research & Development Program Manager based in Galway.
Responsibilities
- Manage the activities of one or more programs or long term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.
- Accomplish results through employees/teams, and/or vendors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Manage, motivate and develop team members including vendors to complete an assigned major program or project.
- Responsible for cost, minimisation of risk and completion of objectives.
- Establish program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budget.
- Responsible for timeline and goal setting to meet overall project objective and design.
- Execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
- Ensure that programs are managed on schedule and within budget
- Motivate and develop competent personnel while ensuring staff clearly understand expectations and performance.
- Provide technical support on field related activities such as clinical programs and complaint investigations.
Requirements
- Qualified to degree level in engineering, science or related discipline
- Strong proven track record in program management
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in regulated environment.
- Medical device product development experience required
- Significant people management experience
- Strong communication skills
