We currently have an opportunity with a leading bank for a mortgage arrears executive to join their expanding mortgage arrears team.

The client will provide a very good salary and benefits as well as longer term career options.

The bank is looking for a candidate with a at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in this area.

Collection of loans in Arrears:

  • Working a queue of distressed loans, proactively contacting customers between 2 and 6 months in arrears.
  • Dealing directly with Members in formulating and driving appropriate, sustainable repayment arrangements and loan modifications.
  • Evaluating and agreeing sustainable solutions such as interest only, term extensions and capitalisation of arrears.
  • Meeting members to evaluate circumstances and solutions.
  • Working with third parties including MABS, solicitors and financial advisors to identify solutions for members.
  • Instruction of property visits where appropriate.
  • Strict compliance with process and procedures governing all aspects of the Retail collections process.
  • Participation in ad hoc project work as part of ongoing team development.


Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years experience in a Credit Management or Credit Underwriting role in Retail lending.
  • Possess sound business acumen and judgement in dealing with stressed situations.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Results driven individual with proven track record in performance management and/or risk based work prioritisation.
