Our Client, a Leading Multi-Channel International retail organization is currently looking to recruit a Supermarket Buyer for the Fresh Food Category within their Supermarket and convenience store chain . E xperience as a Retail Buyer in a food, non-food or fashion retail multiple buying office is required for this role

The Job of a Supermarket Fresh Food Buyer
You will be responsible for developing business plans to drive performance of the category by interpreting trends, Customer Insight analysis, Assortment Development, Developing and executing Marketing programs and negotiating with existing suppliers whilst always looking for Product that will give your business a USP and keep it ahead of the curve.
The Job
- You will trade your area looking for the best possible deal
- To develop relationships with suppliers and find new buying opportunities
- To be aware of trends and opportunities to improve profitability within the department
- To lead negotiation with suppliers
- To develop a supply base to support your strategy
- To ensure that innovation is at a level which keeps the range always ahead of market trends
- Managing and developing a specific portfolio of suppliers and brands
- Achieving budgeted LTA, Marketing and all other forms of buying income
- You will construct and manage the range
- You will work closely with stores
