Our client, a Cork based manufacturing company, currently has a requirement for a Cost Accountant to join their team (6 month contract).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the cost of sales function, the successful candidate will report to the Senior Financial Accountant.
  • Calculation of weekly/ monthly raw material and cost of sales data.
  • Production of internal / external cost of sales reports.
  • Entry of cost of sales journals to accounting system
  • Reconciliation of month end stock balances
  • Maintenance of the time and attendance system.
  • Responsible for labour cost analysis.
  • Responsible for completion of stock scanning project designed to automate entry of stock and cost of sales data to accounting system.


Requirements:

  • Relevant Third Level Degree or equivalent
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant with 2-3yrs cost analysis experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong cost accounting experience, particularly accounting for raw material cost of sales.
  • Excellent knowledge of large scale ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, along with good oral and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
