Our Multinational client based in the Mid-West are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer to manage customer accounts across the mechanical/manufacturing, aerospace & communications sectors in Europe as well as driving & developing new business opportunities.

Role and responsibilities:

- Identify target & develop key client accounts in the aerospace, government & manufacturing sectors.
- Meet with potential clients, identify their needs and propose new solutions.
- Manage marketing duties including trade events & working on all industrial marketing campaigns.
- Project manage the delivery of solutions and liaise with internal stakeholders including engineering teams, technical support & other senior sales staff.
- Take responsibility for the full sales lifecycle & sales strategy for the territory.
- Achieve and exceed all targets assigned.

Candidate profile:

- 3rd level degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (or similar) is essential.
- 3+ years experience in a client facing industrial/technical/engineering sales position.
- Must have experience in selling to international/multinational clients.
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, influencing and presentation skills
- A self motivated & enthusiastic attitude to building & developing new business.
- Strong planning & organisation skills including working with diverse or remote teams.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Further desirable skills/experience :

- Knowledge of composites/plastics design or manufacturing would be a significant advantage.
- A 2nd European language would be a benefit but is not essential.
- Experience in project management.
- An understanding of electromagnetic properties of materials is desirable.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have sold in the following sectors; Aerospace, mobile communications, radar equipment or electronics equipment.

An excellent salary/bonus package & career progression opportunities are on offer with this position. There is approx 20% travel with this position but candidates must be willing to base themselves in the Mid West.
