Lean Coach, Waterford

This a a permanent opportunity with a leading highly regulated manufacturing facility in Waterford. Suitable applicants must be degree qualified and hold previous experience in a similar role.

Duties:

  • Supports the Lean implementation / initiatives across the site in line with site strategy and executes to that plan.
  • Interacts with external bodies to broaden knowledge base in relation to best in class and to facilitate knowledge transfer in-house.
  • Becomes an expert in the use and application of lean, six-sigma and change management tools and techniques. Acts as internal consultant to the business in the use and application of same.
  • Sets up lean kaizen/project teams with focus in specific areas in line with lean implementation plan. Supports there teams by providing advice and guidance in lean methodology.
  • Facilitates and delivers lean education programs across the site as required.
  • Delivers regular functional and limited site communication on lean progress to objectives / updates.
  • Key contributor to reinforce a continuous improvement culture by developing an infrastructure to promote shared learning and best practice across the company.
Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Business / MBA or equivalent.
  • 2 plus years experience in a similar role preferably within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong experience in CI, change management and or project management.
  • Good understanding of business processes
  • Expert knowledge in lean tools and techniques for both manufacturing and business processes.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
