Computers Unlimited are a well-established computer repair services company based in Phibsboro, Dublin 7, specialising in the repair of Laptop computers. We now have a vacancy for an experienced Laptop Computer Engineer to work in the repair workshop fitting and repairing motherboards to laptop computers, repairing power supplies and displays.

We now have a vacancy for an experienced Laptop Computer Engineer to work in the repair workshop fitting and repairing motherboards to laptop computers, repairing power supplies and displays.
The role involves:
- Recreating the complaint or reported customer fault
- Diagnosing using software and hardware techniques the fault to root cause
- Dismantling and assembly of laptop computers to replace main boards LCD Panels, CPU’s, fans and other components.
- Diagnosing and repairing computer laptop motherboards, LCD panels and power supplies down to component level
- Soldering and reworking of surface mount components to affect the repair
- Downloading software and drivers to test that faults are properly rectified 1st time
- Updating the tracking system to clearly outline the materials used and technical activity taken
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
- Qualified with a diploma or equivalent in electronic Engineering
- Several years experience opening up and replacing main parts on laptop computers or similar devices such as projectors
- Proven expertise in electronic circuit board debug and repair to component level
- Capable of soldering and reworking surface mount components
- Good knowledge of Computer architecture and software tools and operating systems
- Fluent/advanced written and spoken English
