Since its formation in 1976, Kenny-Whelan has
expanded its recruitment activities in parallel with the development of
the multi-national pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device
industries. These industries began to be established in earnest in
Ireland with the opening of
IDA flagship Pfizer bulk pharmaceutical plant in Ringaskiddy in 1970.
In February 2006 Kenny-Whelan was taken over by the
Irish owned Newcourt Group plc which is listed on the London and Dublin
stock markets. Newcourt Group Plc operates in the recruitment, security
and property sectors. The Group has 12 specialist companies in
its recruitment division which covers all areas of recruitment and has
offices in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia as well as Dublin,
Cork and Galway.
During the last 30 years Kenny-Whelan has built up
an enviable reputation with the multi-national corporations operating
in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and medical device sectors. We have an
outstanding reputation for the quality of service we provide in terms
of speed of response, quality of candidates available, and flexibility
in our business relationships. However most importantly what sets us
apart is , our thorough understanding
of the technologies and
technical manpower requirements of these industries. This knowledge and
understanding is due to the quality and experience of our recruitment
consultants. All of our recruitment consultants are graduates in
engineering or scientific disciplines, many of
whom have masters degrees and/or have worked in these industries for a number of years.
Kenny- Whelan has also built long term relationships with our professional engineering, scientific and technical candidates regardless of whether they are seeking contract employment, temporary jobs or permanent positions. With a database in excess of 10,000 technical candidates we stay in regular contact with our active candidates and keep them up-dated on job opportunities as they arise. In the growing contractor sector, our experienced recruitment consultants are available to advise on the advantages and disadvantages of entering this mode of working.
We give advice to those who are contracting for the
first time on the advantages as well as the downside of working in the
contracting sector. We also give advice on setting up a limited
company or operating under composite company, invoicing, time recording
etc, all of which is given free of charge.
