Radius Technologies specialises in IT networking and telephone systems, the companies’ products and services can be broken down into IT support services, telephone systems, office networking implementation and IT product supply.

Radius Technologies currently employs a team of 17 personnel, spanning management, engineers, customer service support and administration and has offices in both Carlow and Waterford city. This certainly makes sense from a competency and cost management perspective for small to medium sized companies, who do not need, or cannot afford a fulltime IT Manager. Acting as their IT department, Radius Technologies manage the day-to-day maintenance of their networks. “Depending on their needs and budget, customers can opt for a general IT support contract, which provides them with maintenance and support, remote dial-in and onsite call-out capabilities. Additionally, they can sign up to a proactive contract where by Radius Technologies’ service engineers spend a pre-agreed number of hours per day, week or month on the client’s premises, undertaking a predefined list of tasks including back-up checks, antivirus checks, internet monitoring and server status reporting; it really depends on what suits the customer needs best”, states Jerry.

Another area where Radius Technologies has specialist expertise is in wide area networking. This is where a company has one or more offices or remote users and wants to share and manage company information centrally, this may also include voice calls, in essence setting up virtual offices, “Managing access to information and how its shared is a large part of what Radius Technologies does” states Jerry, “we review a company’s specific business requirements and apply the latest in industry proven IT products and software. In a lot of cases we re-configure the company’s existing systems to allow this happen more securely and efficiently”.
