Newly founded ODS Solicitors has identified renewable energy and property as key areas for potential new business growth.
\n\u201cWe see renewable energy as a significant growth area for the practice,\u201d said Helene O’Donovan, co-founder of ODS and an active member of the renewable cluster group Energy Cork.
\n\u201cThis is a legal arena I\u2019m particularly passionate about. Renewable energy is continuing to grow and demands a great level of legal counsel in relation to regulations, planning, financing, consents and the construction phase,\u201d she said.
\n\u201cWe are also seeing ongoing growth in the private property market. Despite the pandemic, we have seen a significant uplift in the number of new purchases and sales. There is a mood of growing positivity and buoyancy in the property market and we anticipate significant movement and activity in the months ahead.\u201d
\nAnnette Sheehan and Helene O\u2019Donovan have launched ODS Solicitors at Crosses Green, a short distance from Cork Circuit Court. Having previously worked with Fitzgerald Solicitors in Cork, their expertise covers a range of services from litigation, family law, property, commercial, wills and probate.
\nAnnette Sheehan, from Mitchelstown, is a specialist in family law fields including divorce, separation, access, guardianship, adoption and co-habitation proceedings.
\nHelene O’Donovan, from Glanmire, has over 20 years of<\/p>\n

legal experience. As well as renewable energy, her expertise in corporate law includes advising large multinational companies on land and conveyancing matters of all scales. Her broad portfolio spans private client and corporate client practice.<\/p>\n

Annette Sheehan said: \u201cIt had always been our goal to open our own firm. We decided to take the opportunity when it arose despite the current pandemic and we are delighted with how our business has grown since we opened.
