Karl Griffin, CEO of at aircraft leasing firm Genesis, has been appointed as chair of the trade association Aircraft Leasing Ireland (ALI). He takes over from Marie-Louise Kelly, CFO at ORIX Aviation, after her two-year term as chair. Jennifer Creevey, CFO with Nordic Aviation Capital, is the new vice-chair and will become chair of ALI in 2026. Karl has over 34 years of aviation sector experience. He built AWAS into a top five aircraft leasing firm. He was a founding member of low-cost airline Virgin Express. He also held senior roles with RBS Aviation Capital. He started in 1990 as a maintenance apprentice with Shannon Aerospace.<\/p>\n
Judith Curran has been appointed as counsel on the employment law team with law firm Mason Hayes & Curran. Returning to MH&C from her role as a partner with LK Shields, Judith brings 20 years of specialised experience to the role. Her expertise covers a wide range of employment law, from equality and diversity to complex restructuring processes. Dual-qualified in Ireland and the UK, Judith advises domestic and international clients. Her approach combines strategic insight with practical solutions to intricate employment challenges. \u201cI am delighted to rejoin MH&C at this exciting time. Darius Pasalar has been appointed as strategy lead for with advertising agency BBH Dublin. He joins from Droga5 where he was head of planning, working with clients such as AIB, Kerry Foods and Epidemic Sounds. Prior to this, he was strategy director at Rothco, part of Accenture Song, for five years. He has also previously held a variety of roles at Saatchi & Saatchi. \u201cBBH Ireland\u2019s unique position in the market, both locally and further afield, excites me because it answers a broader yearn I think we all have \u2014 to be different, find the Zag, and be excited by what lies ahead,\u201d Darius said.<\/p>\n
Julie Galbraith has been appointed as employment partner with law firm Eversheds Sutherland. She takes over as head of the employment law team from Joanne Hyde. Julie will be supported by Joanne and her fellow partners, Marie Claire Scullion, Ian MacFarland and other specialists in the team. Julie has also been appointed as chair of the Employment Law Association of Ireland, taking over from Linda Hynes; Julie will liaise with the Labour Court, WRC and international employment law associations. In her daily role, Julie advises businesses on all aspects of employment from recruitment to termination. Julie joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2010.<\/p>\n
M\u00e1ir\u00edn O\u2019Sullivan has been appointed as marketing manager with HR solutions provider SD Worx Ireland. M\u00e1ir\u00edn will drive awareness of SD Worx\u2019s payroll and workforce management solutions among SMEs and enterprises in Ireland. She brings 15 years of marketing experience in the professional services, technology and finance sectors. She was previously marketing and partnerships manager at HR firm Adare Trusted People Partners, where she led a rebrand. Prior to that, she was head of marketing for cyber telecom security provider AdaptiveMobile Security. M\u00e1ir\u00edn holds a BA in English and Economics from Maynooth University and a Masters in Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School.<\/p>\n
Hugo Grattirola, a partner specialising in corporate transactions with law firm Philip Lee, has been appointed by the French government as a French foreign trade advisor in Dublin for the next three years. In that role, he will work with French public authorities and businesses wishing to expand internationally. An expert in Irish and French legal systems, Hugo works with French-speaking clients of Philip Lee looking to set up in Ireland. France is the No1 EU investor in Ireland, supporting 30,000 jobs here. From 2021-22, French exports to Ireland tripled from \u20ac2.2bn to \u20ac6.6bn, while imports from Ireland almost doubled from \u20ac5.5bn to \u20ac9.4bn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
