CANADIAN software company, OpenText, will create 100 highly skilled jobs at its new global customer support centre, which opened in Cork yesterday.

The jobs will be filled over the next two years.

The company will host a recruitment session tomorrow at its new Cork Airport Business Park from 5pm to 8pm.

Meanwhile, Minister for Trade Promotion Seán Sherlock officially opened the new ABEC facility in Fermoy yesterday.

ABEC acquired the 8,000 square metre facility earlier this year and has completed refurbishment works and started operations.

The company is now producing engineered process equipment for biopharmaceutical manufacturing at the site, as well as delivering direct services and support to customers in Ireland and Europe.

The company currently has more than 50 employees at the site and continues recruitment for a range of engineering, design, and manufacturing personnel.
