Initial 3 month contract

Responsibilities:

As a member of the SSO Compliance team, the Compliance Analyst will be accountable to support the:

  • SOX Controls – Interim and Year End
  • Non-SOX - Documentation
  • Support for internal/external audit testing for USGAAP and statutory audits
  • Support SOD review and mitigation i n partnership with Hub Operations Team
  • Assist in SJM Migration/Integration activity – as needed
  • Support Non-SOX - Documentation – For harmonization of controls, coordinating with Operations team to write- up/update the internal controls descriptions and finalize proposed test scripts
  • Support for internal/external audit testing for USGAAP and statutory audits - Ongoing
  • Support SOD review and mitigation i n partnership with Hub Operations Team

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant
  • Understanding of internal control elements. Audit experience performing operational and financial audits, including SOX compliance work desirable
  • Experience managing communications and responses to external audit and local statutory and regulatory authorities a plus
  • Experience developing and providing oversight for audit plans and control reviews
  • Exposure in General Accounting experience in a finance function
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written and listening)
  • Good knowledge of general accounting & reporting concepts and processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to perform risk assessments
  • Ability to develop control and audit risk mitigation strategies
  • Analytical skills
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
