RPS is a leading engineering, planning, environmental and project management consultancy employing over 400 staff. We have an Integrated Management System (IMS) accredited to international standards for Quality (ISO 9001:2015), Environment (ISO 14001:2015), Health & Safety (OSHAS 18001), and Information Security Management (ISO 27001:2013).

We are seeking an experienced candidate to fill the role of IMS Manager with overall responsibility for Quality, Environment, Health & Safety and Information Security Management (ISMS) systems implementation and development.

The IMS Manager will lead and direct a team of experienced quality, environmental, H&S and IT specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more of these disciplines with a proven track record of developing and implementing an accredited management system in a comparable professional services organization.

The position will be based at one of our offices (Dublin, Cork or Galway) but may require occasional travel to each of the RPS offices in Ireland.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Directing and co-coordinating the activities of the Quality, Environment, H&S and ISMS team
  • Liaising with each of the business units within RPS to assist with the ongoing development and implementation of our IMS (ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001) system
  • Managing the development and implementation of the IMS objectives and targets
  • Reporting to senior management on IMS implementation, performance and progress towards meeting IMS objectives and targets
  • Managing audits and compliance checks of projects and systems for compliance with standards, legislation and corporate management systems
  • Working with Project Managers to identify, address and resolve issues
  • Setting up, implementing and monitoring improvement programs and providing legal compliance assistance
  • Identifying and leading IMS improvement projects, including the use of Lean tools for data analysis

  • Design and delivery of training, seminars and facilitation of workshops
Qualifications and Experience:


Degree or similar qualification in quality management, health & safety, environmental science, business management or a related discipline.


The successful candidate should have a minimum of 8 years relevant experience and should possess a clear understanding and knowledge of most of the following:

  • Development, implementation and auditing of management systems to include: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 2013
  • Resource efficiency and sustainability
  • Health, safety, environmental and data management legislation
  • Lean processes and their application
