What you need to know

You will work as a Lead Maintenance Engineer for our client, a highly successful manufacturing company in the Waterford area.

You will be responsible for getting high output from the automation- intensive production lines and leading a team of technicians.

This is a permanent job working on a shift cycle.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Improve equipment performance and reliability through technical knowledge and people leadership.
  • Planning & execution of preventive and reactive maintenance programmes.
  • Develop training plans for technicians.
  • Own, monitor, report and implement improvements in equipment OEE.
  • Propose & action projects designed to improve all relevant maintenance KPI’s.
  • Participate in the recruitment of staff as required.
  • Work with Procurement and Logistics groups on the control of equipment spares.
What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor`s Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience of engineering/ maintenance roles in high-volume industry.
  • 3+ year’s supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience of preventive/ reactive maintenance, technician supervision/ interaction and high-speed automation.
  • Knowledge of medical device and/or pharmaceutical production preferred.
  • Knowledge of automatic measurement and reporting of OEE and related production data would be advantageous.
  • Self-directed with excellent communication skills on technical subjects.
