The Job Suite are currently recruiting a Head Chef for Day time hours for our client in North Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef to oversee all aspects of the kitchen from managing a team, ensuring excellent standards and driving innovation to keep up to date with culinary trends.

Job Description

  • Oversee the day to day running of the Restaurant
  • To prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard for the restaurant
  • To be responsible for all aspects of Food Hygiene & HACCP.
  • To be responsible for ordering of supplies, ensuring they are checked in correctly and all procedures are followed re storage.
  • To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum at all times
  • Liaise with management regarding rotas and all aspects of the restaurant.
  • To comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Keep up to date with current culinary trends and show innovation.
  • To carry out any other duties requested by Management

Ideal Candidate

  • Must have at least 5 years experience in a busy kitchen (Restaurant) environment
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Possess excellent leadership skills
  • Possess a strong attention to detail
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have the ability to work under pressure
  • Be committed to achieving the standards required
  • Required to work weekends
