Head of Automation

You will have a special mix of over 10 year's Engineering experience. & at least 3 years leading/managing a team and enjoy creating technical solutions for clients

Responsibilities will include:

  • Understand Automation; Controls Engineering and be familiar with installation, commissioning on multiple client sites-
  • Be involved in initial Energy Analysis on client sites to support customer facing proposals.
  • Be good at talking to clients to remove technical barriers
  • Coordination & manage client post sale ensuring site relationships are well managed
  • Creating & coordinating project documentation: user guides, test plans, presentations, process docs, etc.
  • Day-to-Day communications with customers
  • Handle daily requests, customer issues escalated by deployment team
  • Communicate with account mgrs/customers to clarify assumptions, ensure deadlines are met, schedule meetings as necessary.
  • A key part of the role is explain and reassure all technical stakeholders
  • Monitor deviations & communicate to customer quickly & professionally
  • Liaise & coordinate multiple s/holders, sales, account Mgrs, operations; deployment team & clients.
Leading Program & Project Management

  • Account manage program reviews regularly with clients
  • Manage deployment escalations & negotiate resolutions.
  • Continuous innovation & improvement during customer lifecycle
  • Improving processes & procedures; map customer journey & ways to improve.
  • Lead a team, develop collateral - share energy consumption data before & after completion
  • Be commercially astute & contribute to roll out of new services to customers
  • Use lessons learned back to refine needs & contribute to ongoing R&D development.
  • Enjoy a fast paced, technology business & work across a range of responsibilities & challenges.
You will have: -

  • 10 years of Energy Engineering/Automation exp
  • Ideally 3 years in a team leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related engineering/business - masters a plus.
  • Strong technicalengineering understanding of processes in commercial / industrial space.
  • Understanding of PLC/SCADA drive systems & experience
  • Areas of particular strength:-
  • Strong project mgt exp; working with 3rd party contractors, & internal resources to achieve strict deadlines & deliverables.
  • Leading & managing technical staff.
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills to create & manage relationships at all levels
  • Willingness to travel as required - up to 30% but within Ireland/UK
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Report generation to board level standard.
  • Advanced knowledge of M/S Office suite essential.
  • A can do, energetic person with excellent interpersonal skills & someone who loves managing a dynamic team.
