ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING -LUXURY BRANDED HOTEL-IRELAND

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Director of Sales for a luxury branded property in Ireland.
Responsible for total account management as well as leading and managing a sales team reporting to the Director of Sales.

The international brand of is highly sought in Domestic, European and North America Markets. The hotel has its own distinct character and personality and is defined by their impeccable service, timeless style and a commitment to giving guests an authentic and unique experience. There is huge area for growth for the right candidate to Director of Sales/Marketing within this organisation.

Core Areas of this position include:
Sales Development
To assist with the developing and implementing of sales strategies for growth by:
" Develop, implement and monitor annual sales and marketing plans for each hotel.
" Key account manage own portfolio of accounts in MICE, DMCs and agents in domestic and global markets.
" Represent the hotel at international shows, trade events and sales trips in a highly professional manner.
" Identify, research and secure appointments with new accounts and agents both nationally and internationally.
" Seek to maximize all revenue opportunities from existing accounts through strategic planning and effective account management.
" Agreeing and monitoring departmental sales action plans.
" Identify and develop new business.
" Participating and supporting hotel Sales teams with customer visits, site inspections and familiarization trips.
" Assist in the completion of regular SWOT analysis on competitor hotels identifying market threats, pressures and opportunities, ensuring activities reflect these, and advising senior management of this market information.
" Manage and undertake international and national key account activities including trade shows, networking events, workshops, presentations and sales missions.
" Promote and represent the hotel professionally and effectively in the domestic and overseas markets through a range of B2B and B2C events including tradeshows, workshops and FAM trips.
" Manage sales and marketing projects as per business requirements.
" Assist in the monitoring of team results and adjust activities to ensure objectives and targets are reached.
" To assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of sales and marketing plans for all the various Food and Beverage outlets.
" Understand and implement elements of the hotel`s yield management strategies for both Meeting and Events and Group Rooms, as part of the sales process.

Process and Systems
To assist in establishing and managing processes, which monitor, control and regulate activities by:
" Managing the integration of information technology initiatives into the Sales & Marketing Department.
" Using technology to enhance management information.
" Implementing best practices within the Sales & Marketing Department.
" Ensuring all current measurement processes are in place.
" Knowledge of Salesforce to record all sales and marketing activity and results.
" Participate in meetings as required.
Marketing
To assist with securing brand identity in all markets by:
" Adherence to and promotion of the Westin brand at all times.
" Marketing Plan -assist with the design and implementation of online and offline marketing initiatives and activities to support each hotels revenue objectives and track return on investment.
" On Line Marketing, SEO, Google Ad Words is required.

Requirements

" Minimum of 5-8 years 4*/5*Hotel Sales experience in a target driven sales environment
" Branded and/or International Hotel experience is a plus
" Proven track record in MICE international sales and overseas trade shows
" Strong North American Network and Contacts
" Experience of effective people management in a team environment.
" A commercial awareness and good understanding of yield management and rate strategies in both Meetings and Events and room blocks
" Sales focused, with targets and results being key driving factors
" Previous experience in a hotel`s budget building process.
" Must be a strong self-starter and possess a recognised ability to close the sale
" Must have the capacity to respond to a fast-paced environment, with a multi-tasking ability in a changing environment
" Excellent levels of personal motivation and confident in what they do
" Effective communicator to clients and colleagues alike, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide precise written reports
" A good organiser with a pro-active approach who seeks out challenges and is driven by success
" Possess a strong track record and over-achievement in sales targets
" Confident, ambitious, pro-active and keen to progress
" Has a Mix of Corporate/MICE Sales
" Has an eye for Marketing and on line platform tools
