HR Officer - Retail Group Cork

Our Client a well-known successful Retail group with their head office based out of North Cork is seeking to recruit a HR officer to join the company

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Officer / Executive. You will provide support and advice to over 300 employees and support all functions in relation to the beginning to end process of people resources and the future strategic business objectives

This job requires Strong IT and CORE HR experience within a processed and systematic retail or hospitality sector

Responsibilities and duties for the job of HR Officer include

  • Actively manage the recruitment process ensuring best practice is adhered to at all times
  • Compile Role Profiles, job advertising, screening, interviewing, referencing for all Graduates to Senior management positions
  • Design and deliver Internal Training Programmes as required
  • Conduct Training Needs and Co-ordinate external training for all employees required in line with business objectives
  • Organising, scheduling and assisting at company training days as required
  • Track, maintain and process all increment and probation reports for all employees
  • Work closely with the Group HR Manager on all recruitment and HR procedures
  • Liaise with the Recruitment partners on in-store recruitment requirements
  • Manage all recruitment administration, induction, reviews and performance
  • Develop detailed induction schedules for all management and ensure follow up is carried out
  • Maintenance and updating of CORE HR system
  • Liaise with Payroll in ensuring all payroll data is accurate and within set pay timelines
  • Respond to payroll queries from payroll and employees in a timely manner
Skills and experience

  • Professional HR Related Degree essential/minimum 2.1 qualification
  • At least 3 years HR generalist experience in a similar retail environment
  • Experience in carrying out reviews, disciplinaries and appraisals
  • Strong understanding of the Retail trade
  • Strong IT Skills, CORE HR essential
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative and drive for results
  • Highly organised with strong organisation and planning skills, ability to prioritise tasks and focus on and meet task deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with employees across all divisions
  • Flexible to travel across stores (mainly across the Munster region)
