Our client is a semi-state innovative company offering a niche exposure to the sport leisure sector, who are seeking to recruit an IT Support Technician to work within the IT Department on a 1 year fixed term contract. The role will be responsible for the provision of quality technical support service to the end users throughout the organisations and the successful candidate will be reporting to the IT Infrastructure & Network Manager.

The Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work as part of a team on the HRI IT Helpdesk providing support for 180 users for the following systems:
  • MS Exchange
  • WAN & LAN networks
  • Firewalls
  • Virtual environments
  • Windows 7
  • Varied business applications
  • Ensure best practice is followed as it relates to IT security though out the HRI network.
  • Support and maintenance of the HRI Local and Wide area networks
  • Support the update and test of the HRI Group Business Continuity Plan as required
  • Provide out-of-hours support and travel between HRI locations as required
  • Follow HRI's procurement process when purchasing hardware and software
  • Investigate, source and implement software/hardware solutions when required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • IT Degree qualified or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a computer technician or similar role.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of computer system and IT components.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN networks.
  • Ability to problem solve and promote best practices in IT.
  • Excellent organisational skills and experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously, in a time sensitive environment.
