Our client, global management consulting company, is looking for a Web Designer to join their team based in Dublin . This is initial 6 months contract with a chance to extend. This role requires 70% design and 30% coding.There's no possibility of remote work.

You will be involved in creating designs for company’s internal and external web platforms with a strong focus on user experience and user interface design. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and problem solving that can deliver creative and innovate solutions to clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpret client briefs and communicate your ideas through research, wireframes, prototypes and visual design.
  • Maintain an open dialogue with clients throughout the design process managing expectations around timelines and budget and communicating design decisions effectively and coherently.
  • Consult with developers throughout the project on the technical feasibility of designs.
  • Work as part of a team in a collaborative environment with visual and UX designers, developers, copywriters and motion designers.
  • Manage multiple projects at one time, switching between projects as required to manage priorities.
  • Accurately track time of projects on a daily basis.
  • Keep up-to-date on new web techniques and technologies, recommending changes as appropriate.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative CC with expertise in Illustrator , InDesign , Photoshop .
  • Experience with Sketch , Invision or other prototyping tools desirable.
  • Basic understanding of web-based technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery desirable.
  • Experience creating wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
  • Experience designing interfaces for desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and visual design best practices.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Employment type: contract

Hourly rate: €16 maximum
