A leading global organization is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join their facility in Clare, to support continuous development and improvement of manufacturing processes.

The purpose of this role is to provide project leadership on continuous improvement and risk mitigation initiatives. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, this job would involve liaising with suppliers, customers, engineering and other departments to ensure all goals and targets of the manufacturing process are achieved.

The role:

  • Support key business metrics with ongoing process improvements and the introduction of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Design & develop tools, fixtures, and gages for manufacturing operations and new product / process introductions.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure CI & NPI projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner and managed in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Engage with customers on technical queries and requirements to include site visits to customer locations when required.
  • Manage production support, new product introduction and process improvement for a number of product lines across a wide range of CNC controlled and manual production equipment.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in CNC machining and tooling would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of PLC and Ladder Programming would be an advantage.
  • The role would involve international travel to visit clients, hence ability to travel internationally would be required.
