Production Biochemist – In Vitro Diagnostics

Founded in 1992, our client is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of high quality diagnostic test kits. They are now looking for a Production Biochemist to join their Technical Rapids team in Bray.

In this key role, you will have the chance to help our client achieve their ambition of becoming a leading player in international diagnostics by maintaining their reputation for providing world-class products.

As a Production Biochemist, you will ensure that our client’s in vitro diagnostic products are manufactured to the highest quality in-line with the master production schedule.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will:

- Ensure that the daily manufacture and testing of products are completed accurately and efficiently
- Highlight any problems that may lead to failure in production, quality or compliance
- Review and edit documentation
- Help to identify and resolve any quality issues
- Build strong working relationships with other groups in the company

To be considered, you will need:

- At least one year’s experience in the production and/or quality control of in vitro diagnostics or similar products
- Previous lab experience
- An understanding of production operations, quality assurance and/or control and cGMP and/or GLP requirements
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- A degree level qualification in a life science discipline

Organised and diligent, as a Production Biochemist, you will have strong communication and presentation skills. You’ll also be a proven team player with the ability to be impartial, objective and work with a sense of urgency.
