Process Engineer (chemical) - Dublin.

Core responsibility:-

Responsible for leading Process Development, Process Optimisation, Cost Reduction and Yield improvement Projects across the bulk manufacturing plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review of existing processes to achieve greater productivity and lower costs of manufacture.
Troubleshooting plant problems and optimising plant performance.
Evaluating optimisation ideas utilising process engineering tools.
Provide the plant based technical expertise in generating and facilitating change including commissioning new plant and equipment.
Progress problem solving initiatives to establish root cause and implementation of appropriate solutions
Conduct all activities in accordance with Company’s Quality and Safety Policies.
Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, process development plans and schedules and verification test plans.
Liaise closely with the R&D, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and SHE departments on optimisation of processes.
Communicate regular and accurate updates on project deliverables to the Project Leader and/or company management. Communicate risk of divergence from plan to the project leader.
Maintain current working knowledge of the key international standards, regulations and regulatory guidance that govern the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries.

Person Specification:

Interested candidates should have:

At least 4-5 years' experience in a Chemical or Pharmaceutical operation - Process Development or Manufacturing Environment.
Minimum of a primary Degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience in LEAN manufacturing desirable
Proficiency in use of desktop software applications such as MS office
Excellent planning and coordination skills
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with good interpersonal skills
Ability to manage risk in striving to meet objectives
Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
