Two great opportunities for an experienced Graphic Designer and a technically minded Art Worker to join a well known priting company based in Cork city. This particular client has over 7000 clients with 20 key blu chip clients including mulitnational companies. They are looking for two new candidates to join their growing team. 1) Job Title: Graphic Designer

Responsibilites:

  • Carry out graphic design work in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Liaise with management for ideas to improve design and office systems
  • Problem solve any issues that may arise
  • Use all company work flow systems effectively
  • Deal with customers in a mannerly and profession way
  • Work as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Planning and organizing production schedules
  • Managing, motivating and communicating with all staff in a proper and professional manner
  • Determining & monitoring quality control standards
  • Supervising the work & training of junior staff
  • To continually improve the Design department
  • Any other duties as outlined by management
Key Requirements: Graphic Designer

  • Third level graphic designer degree.
  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Printing experience desirable.
  • Strong organsisational skills
2) Job Title: Art Worker

Responsibilites:

  • Ensure all files are ready for printing and correctly sent to the relevant presses.
  • Colour proofing and checking production proofs.
  • Offer any technical advice regarding pre-press where necessary.
  • Outputting print ready pdfs.
  • Amending complex files, familiar with masks, paths, colour correction etc.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met according to production dates and keep all parties up to date.
  • Ensuring quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Help out with artwork and design when needed
  • Reviewing department job tickets, managing workflow to ensure all orders are completed on time, and consistently meeting customers’ expectations.
  • Deal with customers in a mannerly and professional way
  • Determining & monitoring quality control standards
  • Any other duties as outlined by management
Key Requirements: Artworker

  • Graphic Designer qualification preferred, not essential.
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Strong technical skills
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
