Assistant Commercial Analyst

Great opportunity for commercialy aware data analyst/ PQ financial analyst/ junior commercial analyst/ revenue management assistant to gain experience in multinational marketing/commercial team!

Summary of the role:

Together with the OpCo Revenue Manager own the Revenue Management topic within the OpCo, acting as an independent advisor for the business. Jointly drive the OpCo Revenue Management agenda, aiming for constant maximisation of Revenue and FGP through:

  • Setting guardrails on (consumer/customer) pricing, promotions, product/customer mix and trade terms
  • Disciplined analytics (combining internal and external data, financial and non-financial)
  • Evaluating performance to ensure execution and continuous improvement through learnings


  • Cleansing, Interrogating and analysing multiple sources of data, and finding ways to calibrate this data (combining internal and external data, financial and non-financial data)
  • Distil the data to develop insights that deliver actionable insight for the business.
  • Support Revenue Management with relevant analysis to develop a price & promotion strategy optimising Return on Investment.

  • Update dashboards to track & monitor RM performance throughout the year vs targets and deep dive on any issues identified.
  • Update data dashboard and models with all relevant data sources.
  • Monthly Reporting of price index performance for key brands & packs.
  • Provide quarterly promotion performance reporting to Management Team, Brand & Sales Teams.
  • Collaborate with other functions to gather relevant data in a timely manner and checking the accuracy of all sources.
Change Management

  • Recommend new ways of working to track & analyse efficiency of promotions, price & mix analysis
  • Develop/improve models to collate & analyse data.
  • Influence Sales & Marketing colleagues to adopt and leverage the outputs of the recommendations to drive actions in their areas of responsibility.
Drive continuous RM improvement cycle:

  • Key member of cross functional projects to ensure the RM agenda is incorporated
  • Champion RM in all cross functional meetings & across the business
  • Train relevant functions with OpCo on RM topics/tools
  • Build network with global team and other OpCos to attain build & share best practice

  • 3-5 years of an experience on FMCG or Retai trade marketing, shopper insight, category insights, sales or planning role
  • Advanced Excel
  • Ability to analyze high volume of financial and non financial data and clearly communicating the results to commercial team
  • Very strong analytical skills with ability to distil large amounts of data into actionable insights
  • Understanding of consumer and shopper insights/ knowledge of marketing concepts
  • Dynamic and proactive person, 'can-do' attitude
