The successful applicant will be responsible for managing, monitoring and supporting Pharmacy Retail Chain in achieving business goals

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate specific business goals to ensure that each pharmacy management team is fully aware of and understands the business strategy
  • Communicate and implement the group business strategy within each pharmacy/territory
  • Conduct reviews individual pharmacies in order to determine where and why business goals are not been met. Prepare, implement, monitor and support a reversal of same
  • Pro-actively monitor local and national business trends or developments specifically relating to consumer trends, health initiatives, etc. and initiate plans for maximisation of same
  • Identify new product and business development initiatives locally to each pharmacy
  • Implement and maintain a budget planning process
  • Implement strategic plan at local/territory level, monitor and report on effectiveness of same
  • Conduct benchmarking of local competitors against pharmacies within the territory and report on same
  • Monitor territory category management system
  • Monitor full store layout and merchandising planograms
  • Conduct space analysis on each store and advise on recommendation as a result to change stock holding and layout
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to new and existing pharmacy managers on sales matters, financial matters and operational management
  • Monitor stock holding figures
  • Implement an organisational sales plan to support the strategic business goals based on historical data, market trends, competitor activities, promotional strategy and sales effort of pharmacy personnel
  • Participate in the development of the group's annual marketing plan, specifically advising on realistic sales forecasts for product categories and own territory
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies
  • Liaise with store management and monitor standards regarding facilities and ensure health and safety work practices are complied with.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Business / Retail Degree is an advantage
  • 4 years' experience in similar territory/operations retail position
  • Experience with LS NAV in retail desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised and flexible with a proven ability to multi-task successfully in a busy environment
