Chief Executive Officer
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is seeking to appoint an outstanding Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic, organisational and operational leadership as it enters an important new phase of its strategic renewal and development.
As Ireland’s official standards body and a key part of the national quality infrastructure, NSAI plays an important role in supporting enterprise competitiveness, innovation, quality and regulatory confidence through standards development, certification, legal metrology and conformity assessment services.
The Role
Reporting to the Chair and Board, the CEO will lead NSAI through its next phase of development, with responsibility for:
- Leading the implementation of the NSAI Strategic Plan 2027–2031 and delivering on its strategic ambitions.
- Providing visible, values-driven leadership across the organisation and building, developing and leading a cohesive, high-performing Executive Management Team.
- Leading organisational development and change, ensuring NSAI has the structures, culture, capabilities, capacity and operating model required to deliver its strategic objectives and future ambitions.
- Building strong relationships across Government, industry, regulatory and international environments, and representing NSAI with credibility and authority.
The Person
NSAI is seeking a highly credible, strategic and values-driven senior leader with significant executive experience in a complex organisation.
Candidates will bring a strong track record of:
- Leading strategy, transformation and organisational change.
- Managing significant people, financial and operational responsibilities.
- Building and developing senior leadership teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
- Operating effectively at Board level within a robust governance and accountability framework.
- Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across Government, regulatory, commercial and/or international environments.
