About the Role

Lourdesville Nursing Home is currently seeking compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking Healthcare Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Support residents with mobility and ensure safe movement within the facility
• Assist residents with toileting and continence care
• Promote and maintain a high standard of hygiene and infection control
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes to qualified nursing staff
• Support residents with social activities and encourage participation to enhance quality of life
• Maintain accurate care records in line with company policies
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of qualified nurses
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times

Requirements

• QQI / FETAC Level 5 qualification in Healthcare (or equivalent) preferred
• Relevant experience in a similar healthcare setting will be considered
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible, reliable, and hardworking approach
• A genuine passion for providing care to elderly residents

Working Hours

• 39 hours per week
• Flexibility required, including day, night, and weekend shifts

Salary

• €32,691 per annum
