Are you passionate about using technology to make a real-world impact? We're looking for an experienced technical project manager to join our team and help shape the future of our manufacturing sites.

In this role, you will be the central point of contact for all digital, automation and IT aspects of major capital projects at our Ballydine location. You will have the opportunity to lead significant investments, ensuring they are delivered with the right technology to meet our high standards. This is a chance to use your expertise to drive innovation and efficiency on a large scale.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

  • Lead Digital Projects: You will own the delivery of all automation and IT components for large-scale capital projects, managing budgets that typically range from 6-8% of the total project cost.
  • Collaborate and Strategise: Partner with business leaders and engineering teams to define project scopes, ensuring we use the best available automation technologies and manufacturing systems.
  • Build and Guide Your Team: Develop staffing plans for your projects. You will have the autonomy to manage projects yourself, mentor internal team members, or bring in external experts to get the job done.
  • Champion Best Practices: Guide project teams on our standards for technology, system configuration, software development life cycles, and validation to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Drive Efficiency: Constantly look for ways to make our project execution more efficient, reducing costs and timelines.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Act as a key partner and communicator, participating in project steering teams and keeping everyone aligned from start to finish.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in roles related to project management, automation, IT support or front-line supervision in a pharmaceutical or vaccine manufacturing environment.
  • A strong track record of successfully delivering automation projects and managing multiple projects at once.
  • A solid understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Excellent skills in communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • The ability to analyse business challenges, build a strong business case, and identify the right technical and process solutions.
