A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Supply Chain Operations Specialist at our site in Dunboyne, Co. Meath.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

  • Advise the Supply Chain Team Lead and staff using specialised technical pharmaceutical knowledge regarding the effect to product quality due to changes/deviations in process. Ensure that all materials that are classified to be managed by vendors are correctly introduced to site in compliance with both quality & safety procedures.
  • Evaluate on request the consequences of external guidelines, as well as initiate and develop policies and GMP procedures. For example, Change controls and QMS sub-systems ownership. Ensure agreed materials are available to meet site operational needs to not impact site flow activities; this includes physical materials and associated documentation.
  • Actively advice and support the Supply Chain Team regarding GMP inspections; both internal and external.
  • Initiate and formulate proposals / business cases for quality improvement projects including deliverables and planning for the development and implementation of proposed improvements.
  • First point of contact both within and external to the department for quality and compliance issues (Deviation management)
  • Monitor, initiate and ensure administration and implementation of data review and analysis (e.g. (Packaging) Annual Reviews, performance indicators) and documentation (e.g., SOP’s). Initiate subsequent required actions and ensure completion.
  • Contribute to the Supply Chain Team’s quality by prioritizing, initiating and monitoring related improvements as agreed upon.

What skills you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, pharmacy or science related field
  • 3 to 5 years previous experience within Quality operations/ Compliance or supporting Supply Chain or Operations role within a Pharmaceutical Company
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal – ability to work within all levels of the organisation from shopfloor staff to Site Leadership Team.
  • Computer literate with advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and priority management skills
  • Ability and willingness to keep learning.
  • A team player, who can work autonomously.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sense of initiative and overall coordination of projects and activities
