CMM Manufacturing Engineer

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Contract CMM Manufacturing Engineer for a leading multinational based in Cork. This is a minimum 12-month contract offering an attractive hourly rate. An excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team in a dynamic and innovative environment.

THE ROLE:

* Contribute to and support the development of the Engineering functional strategy
* Provide hands-on support to CMMs on the production floor when required
* Plan and conduct engineering research and design activities
* Standardise and optimise best practices and procedures across the network
* Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and senior managers to meet cost, timeline, and regulatory goals
* Communicate with business partners to address and resolve process and product issues
* Evaluate project outcomes and provide guidance to manufacturing teams as needed
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to staff engineers, senior engineers, engineers, co-op students, technicians, and operators
* Partner closely with the CI&A (Continuous Improvement & Automation) team

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production etc.).
* Minimum of 4 years’ manufacturing experience
* Metrology experience, ideally in Mitutoyo & Zeiss CMMs
* Knowledge of laser engraving machine (advantageous)
