Equipment Sales Engineer (HVAC)

A Equipment Sales Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our COUNTY Cork based client. Engineering qualification, Experience with consultants and contractors. Experience in Air handling units, Chillers and Heat Pumps are highly desirable. The focus of the Equipment Sales Engineer is to maximize customer and order acquisition in line with company strategy. Overall responsibility for sales and customer development in the CORK sales territory, by providing customer value through technical and commercial expertise and partnering.

THE ROLE:

• Core Goal: Maximize customer acquisition and account growth for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and process cooling systems.
• Daily Tasks: Build sales pipelines, present financial and technical proposals, negotiate pricing, and manage client relationships.
• Products: Sell chillers, heat pumps, air handling units (AHUs), and building controls

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Degree in mechanical engineering, building services, or a related technical field.
• Skills: Knowledge of HVAC systems, strong communication, and commercial negotiation abilities.
• Experience: Background in technical sales or the HVAC/refrigeration sector is preferred
• Proven track record of strategic sales results, particularly in the commercial HVAC market an advantage
• Should have working knowledge of the fundamental concepts of heating, ventilating, air conditioning & HVAC systems including building automation systems.
• Working knowledge of equipment & systems, controls, building automation systems, parts, service procedures, service agreements, project / contract management & ancillary HVAC products. Including rental, service, and equipment subject to role.
• Should have specialist HVAC skills; demonstrate thorough knowledge of electrical & mechanical components of HVAC equipment.
• Computer literate and competence in various Microsoft office suites
• Leadership and interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of analytics and financial forecast and profit and loss accounts an advantage
• Good Communication
• Highly Self-motivated and enthusiastic Salesperson
