Senior Manufacturing Engineer

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading multinational company based in Cork. This is a 12-month contract role offering a highly competitive hourly rate.

The successful candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a technical, engineering, automation, or business process area. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the site management team to develop and implement the site’s future-state strategy, driving innovation and operational excellence.

THE ROLE:
* Contribute and input into Engineering functional strategy
* Champion operations excellence across the site.
* Plans and conducts engineering research design
* Plans and conducts significant engineering and lean initiatives
* Standardises and optimises best practices and procedures across sites
* Co-ordinates with other unit’s vendors and senior managers as needed to ensure specific cost, time and regulatory standards are met.
* Communicates with business partners to resolve process and product issues.
* Evaluates the results of projects and provides manufacturing guidance and assistance as required

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production etc.) or technical experience equivalency.
* Minimum of 6 years’ manufacturing experience
* Recognised Lean qualification, ideally a black belt
* Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of business critical projects.
